A classical (recurrent) nova explosion occurs on the surface of an accreting white dwarf with a companion star in a close binary system. Due to recent developments in both observation and theory, nova research is becoming more quantitative and statistical. However, there still remain unsolved questions to be answered in follow-up studies. In our seminar talk, we will focus on the key issues and present our results, covering V1280 Sco (an extremely slow nova), V339 Del (the first 7Be detected nova) and M31N 2008-12a (a remarkable recurrent nova in M31).
