| Recovery of Nova Scorpii 1437 AD - now a magnetic cataclysmic variable |

I will present and discuss recovery of the binary underlying the classical nova of 11 March 1437 recorded by
Korean royal astronomers whose age is independently confirmed by proper motion-dating. I will also discuss the
physical characteristics and the present evolutionary status of the binary system responsible for the nova
outburst based on preliminary results of our ongoing extensive observations.
