This page contains a link to the TFA-filtered light curves of a small sample from the MACHO database. The goal of this work was to test the applicability of the Trend Filtering Algorithm (TFA, see Kovacs, Bakos & Noyes 2005 ) in searching for classical variable stars. TFA was developed to filter photometric time series from systematics (i.e., colored noise) that jeopardize our ability to search for faint signals, and, in particular, the type of signals we encounter in the course of transiting extrasolar planet search.
